    THE CHALLENGE
Lack of Urban Soccer Access
San Jose lacked accessible soccer fields, especially for small-sided formats.
Jodi, the property owner, identified an underused Chinese restaurant and parking lot, and envisioned a space that could bring sport, community, and social connection together.

    THE SOLUTION
A Restaurant Reimagined
Between January–March 2021, Urban Soccer Park transformed the property into a dual-purpose facility: two 5v5 fields and a community clubhouse.
Pitch Features:
Two 5v5 Modular Fields – Turf, futsal goals, netting, and lights
Repurposed Clubhouse – Viewing parties, food & beverage, meetings, and events
Inclusive Design – A welcoming hub for players of all levels

    COMMUNITY
From Takeout to Kickoff
The San Jose Legend Soccer site shows how creativity can reshape urban space. What was once a restaurant and parking lot is now an inclusive 5v5 hub where players come to train, compete, and connect.
The clubhouse adds a unique twist — food, events, and viewing parties alongside soccer — making this a true community destination.

A Model for Adaptive Urban Spaces
Legend Soccer proves that even unconventional properties can become vibrant soccer facilities. With USP’s modular approach and design flexibility, underused lots, parking areas, or buildings can be reimagined into thriving sports and social hubs.
