Vineyard Church & Idaho Rush Partner to Create Soccer Access in Boise

A faith-and-sport collaboration transforms underutilized church land into two vibrant mini-pitches for kids, families, and youth athletes.

Underutilized Land + Limited Training Facilities

THE CHALLENGE

Underutilized Land +
Limited Training Facilities

Vineyard Church had underused land on its campus, while Idaho Rush lacked adequate small-sided training environments for technical and tactical development.

Both partners needed a solution that would serve the community, engage families, and elevate youth soccer training.

COMMUNITY

Faith + Football: Building Stronger Community

This project created more than just fields — it built a model partnership. Vineyard Church activated unused land while welcoming families onto its campus. Idaho Rush gained the technical environment to train smarter, more confident players.

With more touches, free play, and the joy of small-sided soccer, the facility ensures kids not only develop skills but also love the game. Together, Vineyard Church and Idaho Rush built a facility that benefits players, families, and the wider community.

“Countries that have won the World Cup all started playing small-sided games. I think it's important for kids to start off playing small-sided games, and facilities like this really help us do that."
