Crown Point YMCA Expands With Two New Mini-Pitches
A regional YMCA transforms donated land into two versatile soccer fields, providing safe, inclusive play for all ages.
THE CHALLENGE
Expanding Recreation
for All
The Dean & Barbara White Southlake YMCA, part of Crossroads YMCA, needed to expand recreation opportunities for members and the broader community.
With limited outdoor facilities, they sought a flexible solution that could serve multiple age groups, reflect their mission of inclusivity, and provide both structured and free play.
THE SOLUTION
Two Flexible 60×100 Fields
In 2021, Urban Soccer Park partnered with the YMCA to install two 60×100 modular fields on donated park land.
Pitch Features:
Versatile Design – Play 5v5 lengthwise or split into smaller 3v3 formats
Game-Ready Amenities – Turf, netting, lights, benches, bleachers, and YMCA-branded center circle
Multi-Age Access – Designed for youth programs, family play, and community use
COMMUNITY
More Than a Training Ground — A Legacy for the Community
More Than a Facility — A Community Connector
By transforming donated park land into high-quality fields, the YMCA created a hub for connection. From youth clubs and summer camps to family pickup games, the fields ensure everyone has a place to learn, grow, and play.
“We need to be relevant and remarkable to be able to continue to have people find this as a place where they can be healthy and active and grow and learn and build self-confidence.”
